Carrying forward the learnings from the NU Hospital, Rajajinagar, z axis design studio's architectural team incorporated the environmental and locational vagaries of Ambur and Shivamogga sites in the design. To that end, for the Ambur Hospital, the architects incorporated baffles to shield the building from the highway which ran next to the site. Whereas, for Shivamogga, the architects incorporated a large central courtyard to humanise the scale of the building for the incoming patients.
