The architectural brief sought a design which accommodated 3 generations of a family. The team at z axis design studio, inspired by a large tree growing in the vicinity of the site, decided to make it the pivot for the design. To that end,"The House by a Tree'' embodies the essence of family togetherness, rooted in nature. It celebrates continuity, shared memories, and the nurturing spirit of a tree. With the 3 generations spread across multiple levels, the emphasis was to create enough community spaces for the family to gather and continue making memories together. This theme was extended into its interior design, which was an amalgam of varied shapes and colours.
