The architectural design of the house was inspired a bamboo sieve. This idea was translated to provide its inhabitants a unique residential project that celebrates sustainable living, cultural heritage, and harmonious integration with nature. While bamboo represents strength, flexibility and organic beauty, the sieve symbolises, the filter which lets only the essentials pass through. The bamboo sieve as an element was used across various windows and skylights to permeate a mysticism of light on the inside. Replete with modern lines for its external massing, this design attempts to blend the machine (concrete & cut stone) with nature (bamboo)
